Old School Real Cowboy Bullwhips, handcrafted in Lafayette, La. the Heart of Cajun Country.
Gros Pop as us grandkids called him was a well known saddle and bullwhip maker from 1910 to 1970. My dad was a leather craftsman also, I have always had this talent but slowing down in my life to start using it.
Up for sale is this beautiful all handcrafted bullwhip with cracker made of 4 and 8 plait braid Old Fashion Bullwhip exactly like Gros Pop made them in the day.
Solid Wooden handle to finish it off.
I have one of his whips that he made for me and copied his style of cowboy bullwhips made with 7/9oz Oil and Dipped Latigo Leather. The cracker we always made from the string from bales of hay we up upgraded to wax coated nylon twine.
